Las Vegas, NV -- Justin Timberlake will host the PGA TOUR's fall event for Las Vegas, named the Justin Timberlake Shriners Hospitals for Children Open.
The Justin Timberlake Shriners Hospitals for Children Open will be played at the TPC Summerlin course, and take place from October 13 - 19, 2008, combining a celebrity pro-am tournament with the PGA Fall Tour.
The pro-am event will be held on October 15, and fans will catch their favorite TOUR players mix along side of celebrities and amateurs, and of course, Justin Timberlake.
The PGA TOUR festivities begin October 16, with the final round held on the 19th. Mike Weir, Jesper Parnevik, and Chris DiMarco are several top players already committed to playing.
George McNeill, last year's champion, will compete on a 132 player field to defend his title and for the chance to capture the prize purse of $4.1 million dollars. First place wins $738,000.
All four rounds of the PGA TOUR portion will be televised on the Golf Channel, and broadcast on XM satellite radio.
All proceeds for this event will benefit the Shriners Hospitals for Children across the US.
